From their classic Rosewater to their newest Lavender...It's all about MB's Facial Sprays!
I originally got hooked on Mario Badescu for their Drying Lotion, when I was just a teenager with hormonal acne. From there, THANKFULLY, I ventured out of their acne line, and found THE Rosewater that I have been using religiously for the past....many years. Recently, they have launched the Cucumber and Green Tea AND Lavender Facial Sprays and I have the breakdown for all 3 Facial Sprays.
What do Facial Sprays do???
Facial sprays can help give you the boost of hydration before/after makeup for a glowy radiance. It also helps to set your make-up, and soften the powdery look of powder foundations. My favorite reason for using facial sprays is that it helps to balance out your oil production. Our skin can only produce oil and not water, and by giving the much needed hydration...our skin does NOT need to make excess oil to overcompensate dehydrated skin!
WIN/WIN/WIN!
LET'S BREAK IT DOWN NOW.
First...The classic, THE Rosewater.

This was the first facial spray that I got hooked on. Starting at $7 a bottle..it was really hard not to fall in love with this product. Spraying your face with, what smells like 10,00 roses, is an experience in itself. Made with Rose Extract, Gardenia Extract, Aloe Vera, Thyme Extract,Bladderwrack Extract...this facial spray helps to revive dehydrated skin for that "I don't shine...I glow" radiance.
Who is this good for? EVERYONE! Dry/Oily/Combination...can all unite with this one facial spray. Rose Extract helps to minimize redness and soothe irritated skin. Gardenia Extract is an antioxidant that helps fight aging free radicals to prevent further UV damage to the skin.
Second, The new kid on the block...the Cucumber & Green Tea

This was their second member to their facial spray family. Having used an entire bottle of this, very recently...I can speak on it very personally and say that it smells SO GOOD! It has the best refreshing scent and I find myself saying.."spaaaaaaa". I don't know about you..but I LOVE the smell of those essential oil spa scents and this has the most upbeat version of that scent. Made with Green Tea Extract, Cucumber Extract, Cucumber Essential Water, Peppermint Essential Water, Aloe Vera...this facial spray gives the perfect "THE WORLD IS MY OYSTER" mood.
Who is this good for? Dry/Sensitive Skin! Cucumber calms and soothes sensitive skin, meanwhile Green Tea is an antioxidant that helps to reduce inflammation.
Last but not least...The Exclusive...The Lavender

Exclusive to Ulta... Hot out of the oven, Chamomile and Lavender Facial Spary is the newest addition to the Mario Badescu's Facial Spray family. Personally, I expected the Lavender scent to be a little bit more stronger, but I smell a stronger note of Chamomile and then a softer hint of Lavender to finish off the scent. Made with Lavender Essential Water, Lavender Oil, Chamomile Extract, Aloe Vera, Bladderwrack Extract, Vitamin C...this facial spray helps to calm your senses meanwhile brightening your skin for that "I woke up like this" glow.
Who is this for? Acne prone/Dull/Lackluster Skin! Lavender oil has antiseptic properties. Lavender Oil has been used to treat acne, wrinkles, and other inflammatory conditions for many years. Vitamin C helps to reduce irregular pigmentation and promotes collagen production.
If you want to use all three ...like I do,
Use Cucumber and Green Tea in the morning right after washing your face to freshen up your skin before your serums/moisturizer.
Use Rosewater to rehydrate throughout the day for that added radiance.
Use Chamomile and Lavender at night, right after washing your face to soothe your tired skin before applying your serum and night cream.
TL/DR: Rosewater- All Skin Types; Cucumber & Green Tea- Sensitive/Dry Skin; Chamomile & Lavender- Acne/Dull Skin.
