ARE YOU MIA?

This is my two year old Clarisonic MIA.

I got my Clarisonic Mia as a birthday gift two years ago and here are my thoughts on whether if you are M.I.A. (missing in action) and need to get one A.S.A.P., or... miss out on the fad and save some $$$.

This is what Clarisonic claims...

"Clarisonic goes beyond cleansing by using sonic technology to gently yet deeply cleanse pores of environmental toxins, makeup and bacteria - without abrasion or harsh chemicals. With regular daily use the Clarisonic reduces dry skin patches, oily areas and blemishes and immediately leaves skin feeling and looking smoother."

SOO....DOES IT WORK!?

Here are some step by step on how it tests out on my hand with different types of makeup on.

First, I got my hands DIRTY.

Top: Hypnôse Drama Instant Full Volume Mascara

Middle: ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Lip Gloss in Fudge

Bottom: TOO FACED Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer in Fair

Second, I used my staple Kiehl's Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash

It's a great cleanser for people with combination skin. (normal to oily)

I usually like to squeeze the cleansers straight onto my Clarisonic Mia brush, but here is some of the Calendula cleanser squeezed on my hand.

Clarisonic definitely does take all types of makeup off your hand/face/body..etc.

It does stain your brush (I currently have the Acne Cleansing Brush Head)

But if you wash your brush with a little bit more of the face cleanser, it cleans it straight out of the brush.

The recommended time to change your Clarisonic brush heads are every 3 months.

SO WHAT'S THE VERDICT?

If you want to clean your face in a simple/quick way, then YES! It is totally worth it. My favorite days to use my Clarisonic Mia, is when I just want to wash my face with the least amount of effort. YOU know those type of days...lol.

Do I think you should upgrade to the higher end Clarisonics??...NO.

I think the Mia 1 or even Mia 2 is definitely worth your time/money but anything higher like the Smart Profile line that can run around $349... is a little too steep for my taste.

The idea of the Smart Profile line is that one device can clean/massage/lift/firm/give you a new face/magical fairy dust/etc/etc... but I like to keep my cleansing device in the bathroom and keep my lifting/firming facial device like my NuFace Facial Toning Device (review will be coming soon!) in my bedroom, right next to my bed.

TL/DR

Clarisonic Mia is worth your money! So don't be M.I.A., and get a Clarisonic Mia.
